Honoring Battalion Chief Todd Jensen
With significant sadness, we share the passing of Graham Fire & Rescue Battalion Chief Todd Jensen. Todd passed away from a sudden medical event on July 24, 2023, while on vacation. His passing was unexpected and has stunned his family, friends, and the entire Graham Fire & Rescue family.
Todd joined Graham Fire & Rescue as a volunteer firefighter in October 1991 and was hired as a career firefighter/paramedic in 1996. He served in various roles, from firefighter to Assistant Chief of Operations, over his 31-year career.
Todd leaves behind a wealth of fire service knowledge and is a significant loss to our fire family. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Our hearts are with Todd’s family and friends as they endure this heartbreaking loss.
Procession
The procession route has been established for the memorial for Battalion Chief Todd Jensen. Here are the streets that will be traveled. There is also a map attached.
The procession will begin at Graham Fire & Rescue Station 91 on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
- Vehicles will head east on 187th St E
- Turn left onto WA-161 N/Meridian Ave E
- Turn right onto S Meridian
- Turn left onto 9th Ave SW
- At the traffic circle, continue straight on 9th Ave SW
- Turn right onto 11th St SW
- Procession route ends on 11th St SW
The procession will begin at approximately 11:30 am and will end at approximately 12:00 pm. The procession will only include a Graham Fire & Rescue ladder truck, a medic unit, and two Chief vehicles. We anticipate minimal traffic impacts.
The Jensen family has requested a private memorial for Chief Jensen, however, the public is welcome to line the route of the procession to show their support for Chief Jensen and his family.
