Public Hearing – Benefit Charge

The Board of Commissioners of Graham Fire & Rescue hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be conducted on July 14, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. during an open meeting of the Board to be held on such date. The public may attend this hearing virtually at the following address:

The purpose of the public hearing will be to review and comment upon a proposal to adopt a benefit charge in the District. The benefit charge would be used to support the District’s legally authorized activities, for purposes of maintaining or improving the services afforded in the District. The benefit charge is not a tax. The benefit charge is a special assessment on property that is based on the measurable benefit to the property. This notice is made pursuant to RCW 52.18.060.

If the Board adopts the proposal for the benefit charge, the issue would be voted on by District voters in the November 2020 general election.

Comments received after 5:00 PM on July 13, 2020 will not be considered at the public hearing.
